Prevent Cybercrime, Kominfo Collect hotshot IT Security

Jakarta - The potential threat of cyber crime reported increased. Moreover, the number of Internet users and activities in the digital world to keep moving without stopping. 

Seeing such conditions, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology () try to make the event sharing knowledge through an international conference entitled `Indonesia Information Security Forum (IIS) 2012: Cybersecurity Policy & Regulation Confidence Building Measures in Cyberspace`, held in London on 9-10 October 2012. 

According to the Director General of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics and Telematics Applications Ashwin Sasongko, the show is soconcerned about the form of government to be aware of potential threats to information security in the digital age. 

"We are gathering information technology communities to share information about the development of information security. Aiming to raise a concrete commitment to strengthening defenses against various threat of cybercrime," he said, at the Hilton Hotel, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, London, Wednesday (10/10 / 2012). 

Aswhin added, the current development of internet usage is increasing rapidly among which is characterized by a variety of IT infrastructure and content. "Not to mention programs like e-banking, e-KTP and others," he said. 

But that growth, continued Ashwin, must be accompanied by a guarantee of security so that Internet users do not worry. 

"In terms of security, if not safe, then the internet users will be blurred. Instance Bandung, if kia knows how thesecurity was no problem when we would visit. Feared we anticipate that not to happen," he concluded. 



A number of security threats such as spoofing the information referred to, spamming, sniffer, crackers, hackers, cyber terrorists, the invasion of viruses, and so on.
